WHAT WE COLLECT

When you use Dirty Laundry, we collect:

• Account information — Email address, display name, and password (if you create an account). Anonymous users only provide a display name.
• Group data — Group names, chore names, completion records, points, reactions, and photos you upload as proof of completion.
• Push notification tokens — If you opt in to push notifications, we store your device's push subscription to send you notifications.

WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT

• We don't track your location
• We don't sell your data to anyone
• We don't use analytics or tracking cookies
• We don't show ads

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Your data is used solely to make the app work:

• Display your chores, points, and leaderboard to your group members
• Send push notifications you've opted into (nudges, completions, reactions)
• Calculate reports and statistics for your group

WHO CAN SEE YOUR DATA

Your data is only visible to members of your group. We don't share your data with third parties, advertisers, or anyone outside your household group.

PHOTOS

Photos uploaded as proof of completion are stored in our cloud infrastructure (Supabase Storage). They are accessible to members of your group. You can undo a completion to remove the associated photo.

CHILDREN

Dirty Laundry supports a "kid" role for children using the app with parental supervision. Kid accounts can be created anonymously (no email required). Parents control the group settings and can remove kid accounts at any time.

DATA STORAGE

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU). Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

DELETING YOUR DATA

You can leave a group at any time from the group page. If you want your account and all associated data deleted entirely, email us and we'll sort it within 48 hours.
